I'm sitting in the mall as I type this. There are shoppers lounging on chairs and walking around with giant Disney Store and KB Toys bags. The holiday decorations are up and twinkling. Sounds like your typical afternoon at the mall right?
Wrong.
Because it's 2 am.
I haven't slept yet, and I'm just getting started on what's going to be literal hell for me. 16 hours of work. 19 hours in the mall. And people are ALREADY HERE.
I'm putting in my 2 weeks at ON today though. AND I'm going to ask my manager to shorten my shift. Suck it, retail.
I don't even know if this is making sense, because I'm just now getting tired. I tried to sleep earlier but I was wide awake and no sleep came. I bought some of those 5 hour energy shot things though, so we'll see if they're any good and if they do any good. I heard they taste absolutely disgusting though, so I'm a little timid.
This is bad. I'm starting to feel like I'm going to doze off at any moment. This is usually when I go to bed. Not when I get up to go to work. Suicide is looking like my best option.

Gearing up

Hope you survived Fridday! I need to ask a favor. . .I've been going into the Shorewood SBUX a lot lately and they seem to go off the reservation and play music other than the usual Starbucks background music. Yesterday they played some blues where the refrain included "cold-hearted bitch". They were also playing bizarre video game music. I can't imagine that's allowed. Can you put it through the gossip grapevine that if I hear music with that kind of language again, I'm going to narc to Corporate? I think that's just disrespectful to the middle-class people who are losing their ass on SBUX stock (I realize the baristas have stock too). Thanks!
I'll say something, but I'm not sure it'll do any good. Unless that store is like mine and just has a little cd player (which is against policy anyways), they don't choose the music. It's a radio station that broadcasts to SBUX, and everything is pre-chosen by some higher-up in charge of what music plays. We've had some CDs that we're required to play that include profanity, and we really can't do anything about that. If SBUX wanted to, they could have released a clean version, but they give us the unedited stuff to play.
